Privacy Policy

GigDough is a show cost calculator for musicians and venues. It's built so that we don't collect or keep your information. This page explains exactly what happens to it.

Your estimates

• Estimates you save are stored in your web browser on your device (browser storage). They are not sent to us.
• Export saves your estimates to a file on your device. Import reads a file you choose. Neither sends anything to us.
• Clearing your browser's data for gigdough.com deletes your saved estimates. Export them first if you want a backup.

Signing in with Google

When you buy GigDough, or tap "Already paid?", GigDough asks you to sign in with Google and asks Google only for your name and email address. Your email is sent to GigDough's small purchase-check service, which asks Stripe whether that email has paid and sends back the answer. It keeps nothing. Your first name is shown in the app ("Welcome, …") and remembered only on your device.

Club sharing with Google Drive (optional)

If you choose to set up or join a club, GigDough asks you to sign in with Google and asks for permission to use Google Drive with the drive.file scope. That permission only covers files GigDough creates for you or files you pick in Google's file picker. GigDough can't see anything else in your Drive.

With that permission, GigDough:

• creates a folder and a Google Sheet named "GigDough – your club name" in your Google Drive, and saves your club's estimates in that sheet;
• reads and updates that sheet when you or your club members save, load or delete estimates;
• shares the club folder with the email addresses you enter, so Google can email them an invite;
• reads your Google account email address to show who last changed each estimate.

Club sharing happens directly between your browser and Google. GigDough has no server that receives, stores or copies your Drive files or club estimates. The sign-in token Google gives your browser stays in that browser tab and expires after about an hour.

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models, and no person at GigDough reads it. GigDough's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can remove GigDough's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Your club's sheet stays in your Drive until you delete it.

Purchases

If you buy an unlock or club sharing, payment is handled by Stripe. GigDough never sees your card details. Stripe shares with us the payment amount and the name and email you enter at checkout, which we use only for the payment record, to unlock your purchase when you sign in with the same Google account, and to answer you if you contact us.

Website hosting

gigdough.com is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. GigDough uses no analytics, no tracking cookies and no ads.

Children

GigDough is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
